Coiste an Asgard is pleased to announce its Sail Training Programme for Summer 2009. Unfortunately, due to the sinking of our beloved vessel the ‘Asgard II’ last year, the programme is limited.

For the time being, we have called upon our previous sail training vessel ‘Creidne’. We used ‘Creidne’ from 1975-1980 before Asgard II was built and she is undergoing a total refurbishment in the Naval Dockyard at the moment. The Naval Service has kindly permitted us to use her for a limited programme this summer. Unfortunately ‘Creidne’ has only 8 berths, so therefore we cannot guarantee that everyone will be accommodated.

We have also called upon some of our friends from the sailing world to assist us this year. We are pleased to tell you that the ‘Christian Radich’ and ‘At Sea Sail Training’ will offer discounted berths to our Trainees. In order to avail of the discounted rates you will need to send us an email. We will then forward your details to our friends at ‘Christian Radich’ or ‘At Sea Sail Training’ who will then get in touch with you.

Coiste an Asgard cannot guarantee berths with the ‘Christian Radich’ and ‘At Sea Sail Training’ as they have limited capacity on some of their voyages and will be selecting their own Trainees.
